The WHO are preparing "new guidance on the consumption of animal-sourced foods:"

These new guidelines will aim to change our food systems, which are "inequitable" and "harming our planet." They usher in a "food system transformation that is equitable and just." It will thereby fulfil all the empty buzzwords that stand for "globalized command and control society," but sound better to the uncritical ear.

We don't have many details yet, but we can conjecture what the new guidelines on "animal -sourced foods" will be. We wouldn't be surprised if the new guidelines conclude that "red meat kills from the first bite," just like the guidance that claims that "alcohol consumption kills from the first drop." Both are completely unsupported by any credible evidence or science. Actually, some of the "high quality evidence" has been dissected above and be shown to stand on very shaky grounds.

Fortunately, the US HHS is walking in the direction of truth and is intending to end the "demonization" of meat and saturated fats:

It's an important step in the right direction. He should also commission modern, large scale studies that will lead to the inevitable conclusions that when consumed with moderation, neither or these foods "lead to cancer from the first bite." The same should be done for moderate alcohol consumption, of which there is absolutely no credible evidence that it would "cause cancer from the first drop," as the WHO pretend.

Great piece, but it is irrelevant, dontchaknow? We all must eat GMO plants to save the world from carbon, and get rid of cows... but not ponies. So no worries, you are a politically correct equine.

I'm not sure though, that we equines are not high-risk species that need to be eliminated for 'pandemic preparedness.' Since there is no pandemic in human record with credible zoonotic origins, nobody knows what 'high-risk species' are. It could be anything 'they' say it is.

Follow-up on this piece: In line with the push from 'authorities' to reduce our meat consumption based on shaky scientific 'evidence,' the US Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee has released its 2025 guidelines (https://www.dietaryguidelines.gov/2025-advisory-committee-report) which advocates for increased bean, lentil and pea consumption and of course, reducing meat consumption (not only red meat). Simultaneously, they did not reach a conclusion on ultra-processed foods, due to 'lack of a clear definition.'

Paraphrasing, per their standards, children grow up healthy on a can of fried beans, a box of Luncheables and a Coke, as long as they avoid ribeye. Sure.

Of course, too much red meat can lead to gout …
